Founded in 2018, Athena Dress Rental started with one gown, a sewing machine and a little bit of magic. Today, we offer over 200 custom dresses and variations — all designed in Canada with long trains made to move beautifully on camera.

Self-taught and obsessed with weddings, photoshoots and flowy fabric. Helen built Athena from her love of photography and the joy of helping women feel unstoppable in front of the camera. She still checks and preps every gown herself before it ships out.
It all started with a search. I wanted to rent a gown for a photoshoot, but everything I found was either outrageously priced or only available for purchase. So I teamed up with my mom and we made one ourselves.
I wore it, shared it in a local model group — and got my first rental request. Then another. And another. We kept sewing and getting rental requests from couples who wish to get a long train dress for their pre-wedding photoshoots. And now? We have 3 seamstresses on our team that help create our dresses. Athena Dress Rental is what we wish existed when we were just getting started: beautiful, long train gowns for the moments that matter most.
